北海道札幌市に工房を構えるJames Frieson (ジム・フリーズン)。カナダ出身の氏はOlivo Espin工房での修行を経て独立。カナダ・トロントにてクラシックギターやフラメンコギター、バイオリンなど数多くの楽器を製作してきました。現在もブラジル、ボスニア、スイスなどより氏自ら仕入れた良材を用いて伝統的なスペインの製作方法で一本一本丁寧に製作しています。本器は氏がその豊富な経験を活かして製作した12フレットジョイントスタイルのOOOスチール弦モデル、2023年製USED品。ムーンスイススプルーストップ、グアテマラローズウッドサイド&バック、マホガニーネック、CSAローズウッド指板&ブリッジ、カシューフィニッシュ。表板にはムーンウッドと呼ばれる、月のサイクルに合わせて一番木質が良く且つ剛性の高い時期に伐採されたスイススプルースを使用。独自の内部ブレーシングやボルトネックジョイントなど、スチール弦モデル用に最適化されています。明瞭でサスティーンもありながら太く優しい音色はどこかスペインのエッセンスを感じさせる仕上がり。ロゼッタやバインディング等の装飾も含めてJames Friesonらしい芸術性の高さがよく表れている1本です。傷や使用感も非常に少ない新品同様のグッドコンディションです。ハードケースが付属いたします。
