Product Description

Koawood body and mahogany neck; jacaranda fingerboard; abalone S.S STEWART lodo on jacaranda veneer peghead; 1930s.

バックに大きめのクラック修繕跡があります。

Samuel Swain Stewart の頭文字をとったブランド名、1800年代後半にはバンジョーメーカーとして名を馳せ、世界でも早くフレット仕様の弦楽器の量産を成功させた会社ということです。S&Bというロゴでギターの生産もしていたそうです。1923年から1925年にかけて、マーティンにてOEMされたSSStewartのブランドのウクレレもあったそうです。1898年に43歳の若さで他界するまでおよそ25000本のバンジョーを製作し、現在のBanjoのスペルを決定したほどのアメリカ音楽会の功労者であったということです。
