静岡県南伊豆町に工房を構えるルシアー櫻井航（Kou Sakurai)氏。19歳にて単身渡英し、ギター製作家クリス・エクレシャルに師事。帰国後、大手ギター工場勤務を経て2007年にギター工房ヴォイジャーギターズを設立。確かな技術と枠にとらわれない発想で自身のイメージしたサウンドを作り上げています。

本機は、櫻井氏が新たにトライしたトップ、バックともにキツめのドーミングをかけた構造を持つVDモデルです。メープル・ローズウッド5Pラミネートネック、強めのドーミング、エレベーテッドフィンガーボード、サイドサウンドポートなどが特徴です。またルックス面ではロゼッタやヘッドトップにCNCルーターを駆使した3Dデザインが採用されておりとても美しいです。トップは、上質なジャーマンスプルース、サイドは、インディアンローズウッド、バックは初となる3ピーススタイルのインディアンローズウッド、フィンガーボードは、エボニー、ブリッジは、ロイヤルブラックウッドという商品名の木材で紫色のパープルハートを熱処理した材トリファイドパープルハートです。指板は14-20”のコンパウンドラジアス、フレットはEvo Goldとプレイヤーをより意識したスタイルです。ペグは、ドイツ製ルブナー。音の粒立ちがとても良い印象で、メープルネックによるしっかりとしたミッドレンジとドレッドノートシェイプ特有のレンジの広さがあり、DADGADなどローダウンチューニングをメインで使用する方には特にお勧めです。ケースは、掲載のハードケースが付属いたします。
