1987年にマイク・ソルダーノによって生み出された“Super Lead Overdrive 100W Tube Amp Head / SLO-100”は、40年近く経った今でもハイゲインアンプの代表格として多くの一流ギタリストたちに愛用されています。HR/HM系ギタリストに限らず、ブルージーなクランチ・チャンネルは、エリック・クラプトン、ゲイリー・ムーア、ルー・リードなどのギタリストを魅了していることも特筆すべき事実です。
これまでソルダーノ・アンプのニュアンスをペダル形式で表現することは困難でしたが、SLOペダルは、「SLO-100」の特長であるゲイン、サステイン、タッチレスポンスの完璧なバランスを再現。
「SLO-100」と同様のカスケード・ゲインステージを採用し「SLO-100」と同じゲイン、ボリューム、プレゼンス、および3バンドEQコントロールを備えています。
側面のディープスイッチは「SLO-100」のデプスノブと同様にローエンドを強調します。
これらのコントロールを駆使することで、豊かな倍音のクランチ・サウンドから重厚なハイゲイン・サウンドまで、ギタリストの求めるサウンドを自在に表現します。
