ギブソンの伝統を体現、クラフトマンシップ、品質、そして卓越したサウンドの頂点を極めるギブソンカスタムショップ、まさにギブソンの最高峰であります。本機は、ナッシュビル、ギブソンカスタムショップ製のF-5Gです。
F-5Gは、ギブソンを象徴するF-5デザインのモダンスタイルバージョンです。現代のマンドリンプレイヤーのニーズに合わせてアップデートされおり、バインディングなしのエボニーフィンガーボード、14 inchのフィンガーボードラジアス、ミディアムフレット、ピックガードレス、そしてショート・エクステンションなど、プレイヤーにフレンドリーな仕様となっているのが特徴であります。
雰囲気たっぷりのダークバーストカラーを身にまとい、トップは、きれいに整った木目の素晴らしいハンドカーブドのシトカスプルース、そして、ネックとボディもカッコいいフィギュアドのレッドメイプルが採用されており、見ているだけでも味わいがあってすごく良いです。フィニッシュもグロス・ニトロセルロース・ラッカーで、とても美しく仕上げられております。ネックまわりにつきましては、約30mmナット幅に、しっかりとした厚みのソフトなVスタイルで比較的どなたにも馴染みやすいと思います。
そしてサウンドは、芯がしっかりとあって力強く、さすがギブソンといったサウンドです。チョップ音も良いですし、単音の存在感もすごいです。音色、音の響き、箱の鳴りと、とても素晴らしい個体で大変お勧めです。是非、お手に取ってお確かめいただければと思います。
