菊地嘉幸氏によるブランドKikuchi Guitars。
菊地氏は1993年単身渡米し、Sadowsky Guitars NYCの工房で技術を学び、帰国後、Sadowsky Tokyoをスタート。Roger Sadowskyとの密接な関係を保ちながら、JT シリーズ、Metroline シリーズ、Sadowsky TYOなどを世に送り出します。そして2023年、自身の集大成としてKikuchi Guitarsを立ち上げ、ソリッドベースをプロデュースしていますが、この度サドウスキー譲りのアーチトップも遂に登場しました。
本器は15インチボディの2ピックアップ薄胴フルアコ、MF15S 2HB Imbuia Burl。

楽器本来の鳴りを最大限に生かした精巧な作りは、驚くべき発音の良さと、木材が持つ自然な温かみあるトーンを実現します。そのトーンを余すことなくアウトプットする為、何度も試作を重ねたカスタムピックアップを搭載。音の分離感を犠牲にせず、ウォームでパンチのあるトーンを生み出します。
初回生産はなんとエキゾチックウッドの限定モデルからスタート。本器は渋い中にもダイナミックな杢目が映えるバールウッドを使用しております。
MF15Sは、ソリッドギターからの持ち替えでもストレスフリーでコンパクトな 15インチの超軽量薄ボディを採用。薄胴ならではのまとまりのあるトーンは、素晴らしいレスポンスの良さを生み出します。
プレイヤビリティを究極まで突き詰めた菊池セットアップにより送り出される、道具として最高の相棒になり得るであろう、アーチトップギターの新定番です。
