1962 Fender "Jazzmaster" is in stock now!
In 1958, Fender introduced a new model to the market, the "Jazzmaster".
As the name suggests, it was released as a model that could be used for "Jazz Music", the stronghold of Gibson.
In particular, the newly designed tremolo unit, which enabled a softer tremolo, improved on the shortcomings of synchronized tremolo units, and was well received for its comfort that matched the music of the time, The new pickup design was also well received in the market.
Fender was the first to use rosewood for the fingerboard, which would become the standard for the rest of the 60's.
This is an early '62 Jazzmaster with a rosewood rounded fingerboard!
Only the body has been refinished in Olympic White!
Painted with cellulose lacquer in the old days, the neck is original finish, but there is a part of clear coat overspray.
The neck is original finish, but some overspray of clear coat can be seen on the neck.
The exterior has already been refinished and you can feel the vintage atmosphere of the instrument.
The pickups are original, the pots have been changed to the recent CTS ones, the tone pots are dated 63, and the preset controls are original.
The nut and frets have been replaced and are in good playable condition!
In addition, the bridge has been replaced with a USA-made one in recent years for playability, but the overall originality is also in good condition.
The sound is also rich in overtones due to the thin headstock neck from mid-1963, and the combination of black bobbin pickups produces a thick vintage Jazzmaster sound.
