ファズ界の王様、FUZZ FACE。
ジミ・ヘンドリックスと共に伝説となったFUZZ FACEは、コントロールとブランドラベルが顔に見えることが由来のファニーなネーミングで、強烈なファズからボリュームを絞った時の秀逸なクリーントーンが使える、現代のギタリストも魅了し続けます。

FUZZ FACEは1966年、イギリスのArbiter Electronics社によって発売されてから長い歴史がスタートします。翌年の1967年Dallas Musical Instrumentsと合併し、Dallas-Arbiterブランドとなります。その後1970年代半ばにCBSによる買収され、その時期に一旦生産終了します。そして、80年代後半にDallas-Arbiterが買収したCrest Audioが製造するFUZZ FACEのリイシューを発表しますが、翌年JIM DUNLOPもJimi Hendrixの名を冠したFUZZ FACE風のペダルを発表し、Crest AudioとDUNLOPで協議の結果、DUNLOPがFUZZ FACEの商標を得ることになり、1993年より、正式にJIM DUNLOP製FUZZ FACEが流通することになり現在に至ります。

本器はその復刻初期の1993年製、FUZZ FACE JHF2のUSED品。JHFは言わずもがなJimi Hendrix Signature Fuzz Faceです。

復刻一発目はファンには嬉しいヴィンテージフェイスの「DALLAS-ARBITER・ENGLAND」のラベル。
トランジスタには最初期オリジナルのゲルマニウムトランジスタNKT275のアメリカ版を採用しています。
バックパネルにはサビが出ており、使用感はございますが、サウンドは快調です。
オリジナルは大変高騰しており、こちらの復刻一発目は狙い目かも！？
