☆For mail order information, please see the Shop Information section on our website☆ A 1965 Gretsch "6122 Chet Atkins Country Gentleman" has arrived! The top-tier model of vintage Gretsch guitars, the "PX6122" Country Gentleman!
This particular model features the popular specification with double mutes and Grover Imperial tuners! The dark cherry red finish retains its rich color. As is common with 60s Gretsches, there are a few minor areas where the body binding has become brittle due to aging, but any damaged sections were repaired upon arrival.
Regarding the parts: While this model year typically features SuperTron pickups with bar pole pieces in the front position, this one retains the FilterTron pickups used up until early 1964. Beyond replacing a few screws, it remains largely original.
The sound delivers the vintage Gretsch country gentleman tone, featuring the Filter 'Tron's signature crisp, sharp highs and rich mid-low range, all at a fair price!
