ロイドロアー研究家でもありアーティストでもあるトニー・ウイリアムソンも認める大阪に工房を構えるWADE。

本器は、バージトーンプロディーサー搭載、1920年代のロイドロアー期のF-5を見事に復刻したFW-5 with VIRZI tone producerのUSED品。

1990年に工房をスタート、ギター・ベースはもちろん様々な弦楽器の製作を始め、2000年ごろよりフラットマンドリン製作を本格的に始動、1920年代初頭のロイドロアー期のGIBSON F-5を塗装はもちろん構造も徹底的に復元し、世界のプレイヤーやコレクターに高く評価されました。

上田氏の手により削り出された味わいのあるトップ&バックのアーチ（バックはやや歪です）は、ハンドメイドマンドリンの魅力を存分に楽しむことが出来る仕上がりです。ついつい指でなぞってしまいます。

本器には、1920年代初頭に採用されていたバージトーン（音質を向上させるためにバージブラザーズ社が考案した音響板）のレプリカが搭載されており、極薄シェラック塗装と相まって、ノスタルジックな雰囲気を楽しむことが出来ます。

かなり弾き込まれてきたことが一目で伝わるコンディションで、全体的に細かな擦り傷や打痕などは多く見受けられます。この個体ならではの表情を形作っており、十分に“アジ”として捉えていただけるでしょう。むしろ新品にはない風格や貫禄が漂い、ステージ映えする存在感すら感じさせます。弾き手とともに歩んできた時間が、そのまま魅力へと昇華された一本と言えるでしょう。

当店入荷後、フレット擦り合わせを済ませ、演奏性を高めました。なかなか入荷しないバージトーン入りのF-5モデル、傷が多いため、お買い得価格にてご提供です！
