愛知県在住のギター製作家岩根康（Kou Iwane)氏が手掛けるこだわりのハンドメイドギター「Iwaneko Guitars」。年間製作本数はごくわずかです。

Simple Styleシリーズは、装飾アイテムを簡素化していますが、内部構造・工法・音作りに関しては、従来通りのフルスペックのモデルで、個人ルシアーのアコースティックギターでありながらお求めやすい価格で、毎回ご好評をいただいているシリーズです。

本機は、スロテッドヘッド、13Fネックジョイント、632.5mmスケール、Oサイズモデルです。12F、14Fジョイントにおけるブリッジ位置の違いから、音質は大きく変化しますが、その中間をねらったモデルとなっております。ルックスはシンプルながらヘッドに入った猫のインレイがアクセントになっており良い感じです。

シトカスプルースTop、インディアンローズウッドSide & Back、ホンジュラスマホガニーNeck、エボニー指板・ブリッジの他、力木のシトカスプルース、メイプルバインディングに至るまで、木部素材をほぼ全て、工房で15年以上寝かせた「枯れ材」が採用されているのが特徴です。ブレイシングは、岩根さんお馴染みのダブルXのスキャロップスタイルで、しっかりした出音と強度を兼ね備えています。0フレット仕様もお馴染みのスペックです。

ネックまわりは、43.5mmナット幅で、わりとグリップ感のあるラウンドシェイプで良いフィーリングです。塗装は、手間のかかるシェラック仕上げで、美しく仕上げられております。

サウンドは、小振りながらヴォリューミーで、深く鳴ってくれます。ウッディーなあたたかみも感じられてすごく良いサウンドフィーリングです。またセラック塗装によりダイレクトに伝わってくる振動感も堪りません。
