1997年製、Gibson Super 400 CES（中古品）です。
ギブソン最高峰モデルとしてジャズギタリスト憧れのキング・オブ・アーチトップ、Super 400。迫力ある18インチワイドボディに、スプリット・ダイヤモンドのヘッドインレイ、スプリット・ブロックのフィンガーボードインレイ、Super 400刻印入りテールピース、ゴールドハードウェアなど豪華な内容で、圧倒的な存在感を放っております。
とても美しいアーチを持つトップには、目の詰まった上質なスプルース、サイド＆バックには、とてもきれいな極上のフィギュアドフレイムメイプル、そしてネックにも美しいフィギュアドフレイムメイプルが使用されております。フィンガーボードは、高級材エボニーで、最高峰に相応しい豪華なウッドマテリアルとなっております。ネックまわりは、ナット幅は約44ミリで、程よい厚みを持ったグリップ感で比較的どなたにも馴染みやすいと思います。ピックアップは、王道の’57 Classicを2基搭載しており、ロングスケール、貫禄たっぷりのボディとの組み合わせから生まれる豊かなトーンは素晴らしいです。
コンディションとしましては、ウェザーチェック、バインディングに軽めのクラック、打ちキズ等ございますが、年式を考慮しますと比較的きれいな外観を保っていると思います。またピックガードは交換されているようです。フレットは、まだまだご使用いただけるレベルで、演奏性は良好です。
まず弾くと振動感がすごく伝わってきて、生鳴りの良さに驚かされますが、プラグインした音色も、優美で素晴らしく、スーパー400の表情豊かなトーンはまさに究極のジャズギターです。時間を忘れて弾きたくなる逸品です。ケースは、掲載のギブソンのハードケースが付属いたします。
