1946年に社名が現在の"Maton Musical Instruments Company"になり、その後工場をカンタベリー、ベイズウォーター、そしてメルボルン・ボックスヒルへと工場の規模を拡大しながら拠点を移し、オーストラリアを代表するギターブランドへ成長しました。自国の素材を尊重した個性を放つラインナップは、世界中で愛用者が増え続け、今や世界的なビッグブランドとなりその勢いは止まりません。

オーストラリアンブラックウッドはアカシア属の植物であり、ハワイアンアンコアも同じアカシア属。木目や色合いも非常に似ており、明るくハリのあるサウンドのコアに比べ、ブラックウッドはローミッドが強調され、ややダークな印象で、他のスプルーストップのモデルとはハッキリと異なるサウンドキャラクターです。
極限まで高められたセットアップ、ローポジションからハイポジションまで、指板に吸い付く様な弾き心地がテクニカルなプレイをサポートします。
搭載されたAP5 Pro PUシステムは、コンデンサーマイクを併用する事によりエアー感に加えボディヒット音もアウトプットします。
まさにプロフェッショナル仕様。
