1965 Gibson "EB-2" Wide Nut Neck is in stock now!
Semi-hollowbody "ES" series bass model "EB-2".
This model appeared in the late 50's and was used by many bands during the British Invention period of the 60's such as the Yardbirds, which included Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, etc.
It was released in 1958 as the second Gibson bass model, and was well received in the market, but was discontinued in 1961, but reappeared in 1964 due to market demand.
This time, we have a new arrival, made in the first half of '65, with a wide nut width of about 42mm until '64, the final specification.
The bridge is also a bar bridge with two studs, which has been used since its introduction in 1958.
The exterior shows some age-related wear and weather checks, but it is still in excellent condition for vintage gear.
Excellent condition!
The tuners have been replaced, but the pickups and pot assembly are original.
The "EB-2" has the warm bass sound of a hollow body.
