The "40th Anniversary Historic Collection 1959 Les Paul Standard Reissue" debuted in 1999 as a 40th-anniversary model of the '59 Burst, featuring significant refinements to the "R59 Historic Collection" introduced in 1994!
The simultaneous release of the “AGED” version, which replicated the aging of vintage Les Pauls, was also sensational.
