アーチトップ製作の達人と名高いマスタービルダーのStephen Sternにより製作されたFender Custom Shop MBS D‘Aquistoです。製作本数も極めて少ないモデルで、シリアルは80番台の個体です。

Stephen Stern（ステファン・スターン）は、高級家具ブランドで経験を積んだのちに、Jackson、Charvelでギター制作を行うことになります。そこで認められたステファンは1993年にFender Custom Shopに移籍することになり、ジミー・ダキスト、ボブ・ベネデットに師事し、アーチトップギターの第一人者となるきっかけとなっています。ワシントンにあり、貴重なコレクションを保存する世界最大級の博物館・研究機関であるスミソニアン博物館に、ステファンが製作したギターも保管されています。それだけでなく、ディズニー作品の記念モデルを製作するなど活動は多岐にわります。

本機はボディトップ及び、サイド、バックにFigured Maple、指板に黒々としたEbony、ネックにはMapleを使用し、指板アールは12インチを採用しています。ピックアップはSeymour Duncan P.A.F Type Humbuckerを搭載しています。

本機は通常使用による使用感がある程度で酷使された印象は無く、綺麗なコンディションです。ネックの状態も良好で、ナット、フレットの使用感も少なく、トラスロッドの順反り・逆反り方向共に余裕があり、電装系の状態も良好です。ストラップピンがシャーラータイプに交換されています。D'AngelicoやGibson L-5などのフルアコをお探しの方にもおすすめしたい1本です。
