いくつかのメーカーで楽器製作を学び、その後North Field Mandolin立ち上げから製作に関わった後に独立する中国のMaster Luthier Qin Ji Duoが製作するQuint Mandolin。本器は、新たなシリーズ“Master Performance Level”に位置付けられる「QTM-F5BM」。トップとバックには、より立体的なグラデーションを持たせたアーチ形状を採用し、板厚やブレーシングにも細かな調整を加えることで、従来モデルをさらに進化させています。加えて、ボディ幅と厚みもわずかにサイズアップされており、より豊かな音量感と厚みのある響きを実現しています。ネックはやや厚みを持たせたソフトVシェイプを採用。しっかりとした握り心地がありながら高い演奏性を備え、30mmのワイドナット仕様により、手の大きなプレイヤーでも快適な操作感を得られます。プレミアムイタリアンスプルーストップ、サイド&バック、ネックに使用しているプレミアムバーズアイメイプルはストックが少なく次回入荷は未定です。エボニー指板&ブリッジ、後藤製ペグ、アイボロイドバインディング、極薄のニトロセルロースラッカーフィニッシュ、サンバーストカラーなど、細部までこだわり抜かれた仕様となっています。手作業によって削り出された深く立体的なアーチドトップは非常に美しく、高い工作精度とセンスを感じさせます。Radius指板やミディアムサイズフレット、オリジナルのフローティングピックガードなど、演奏性とデザイン性を高次元で両立。さらに、指板エンドのスクープ加工を施したソフトVシェイプネックにより、快適なフィンガリングを実現しています。極薄のニトロセルロースラッカーならではの艶やかな質感と、引き締まった立体感のあるサウンドも魅力。ブルーグラスはもちろん、幅広いジャンルに対応できる完成度の高いフラットマンドリンです。新境地へと到達した“Master Performance Level”を、ぜひお試しください。ハードケース付属。
