We’ve just received a 1979 Gibson “ES-347TD Original Black Finish in Near Mint Condition.”
The “ES-347” debuted in the late 1970s as a variation model in the Thinline series!
Its specifications combine elements of the “ES-335” and “ES-345” with those of the “ES-355.” The body features single binding, the ebony fingerboard has large pearl block markers, the headstock is wrapped in binding, and the inlays are crown-shaped. and gold hardware—creating an appearance that blends elements from various Thinline models.
Equipped with a Super Humbucker pickup, a coil-tap switch, a TP-6 fine-tuning bridge that allows for precise tuning of each string, and a sustain block on the bridge shaft, this model comes with special features.
This particular unit, now in stock, features a solid black finish—a rarity on the market—and is in near-mint condition, with the exterior maintained in excellent shape!
It also comes with the original warranty card and other accessories from when it was new.
The frets have been replaced, and the instrument is in great playing condition!
All other parts are also original.
The sound is surprisingly versatile, ranging from jazzy clean tones to edgy overdrive sounds!
What’s more, this model boasts a gorgeous look with its black finish and gold hardware.
