A 1974 Gibson "SG Custom in Excellent Clean Condition" has arrived
The "SG" series underwent a model change starting in 1973.
Design-wise, it features a return to the small-sized pickguard and pickup rings seen in the early 1960s, replacing the large pickguard that used to hold the pickups.
This new arrival is the 1974 “SG Custom,” a top-of-the-line model!
It features triple humbucker pickups and a Gibson/Bigsby-spec tremolo unit.
The finish is Cherry Red, a color rarely seen even on the vintage market.
Externally, while there is some minor wear typical of its age, it has been kept in excellent condition for vintage gear—
Excellent Clean Condition!
Although the gold hardware shows slight tarnish, the finish retains its luster and is in beautiful condition.
Internally, the frets and nut have been replaced, ensuring excellent playability.
Additionally, the toggle switch has been replaced, but all other parts are original.
It’s surprisingly hard to find a guitar from this era in such good condition! Don’t miss out!
