A 1967 Fender "Bassman Amp Piggyback" has arrived
A Bassman Piggyback stack from the Blackface era
This amp features a pair of 6L6GC power tubes and delivers just under 50W of power. The first channel is tuned for bass,
while the second channel is tuned for guitar; either channel delivers that classic Fender tone
The exterior of this unit shows some wear consistent with its age, but it’s in good condition for a vintage amp
Internally, the major components—such as the transformer—are original, though some parts, like capacitors, have been replaced during maintenance.
Additionally, the speaker has been replaced with a Celestion G-12-50, which contributes to a sound better suited for overdrive when used with a guitar, and provides ample low-end headroom when used with a bass.
This amp sounds great, and as a vintage Fender amp available in this price range, it’s sure to perform well on stage!
