A 1955 Gibson "Les Paul Junior" has arrived in stock
A Les Paul Junior with a single-cutaway body!
Released as the first variation model in the Les Paul lineup, this was an extremely popular model. Although it was an affordable version, its materials and craftsmanship were on par with the Standard model.
While early production models from 1954 featured a shallow neck-set angle, the 1955 model was adjusted to the standard angle of approximately 3 degrees, eliminating string action issues and providing a stress-free setup that lets you enjoy great tone
Other than the replacement of a few screws, the pickups—not to mention the pots—are all original,
and the parts, including the hardware, have been preserved in their original condition.
Furthermore, because the rear pickup on 1954 and 1955 models is mounted closer to the tailpiece, the wood in front of the tailpiece stud on the first-string side often lifts up; while this guitar exhibits that phenomenon, it has been neatly repaired. However, this pickup placement is also a characteristic of the great sound of the ’54 and ’55 models.
