"RS Guitarworks"はアメリカ・ケンタッキー州ウィンチェスターに拠点を構えるハンドメイドブランド。1996年に"Roy Bowen(ロイ・ボーウェン)"と"Scott Reedy(スコット・リーディー)"の2人によって設立、数多くのヴィンテージギターのリペア・レストアの経験から生まれる説得力あるエイジド加工の技術や、拘りぬかれた各種パーツのディテール、楽器としてのポテンシャルを追い求める姿勢は世界中のプロアーティストからも信頼を得ています。本器は3シングルスタイルが誕生した50年代のプリミティブな雰囲気やサウンドをRS Guitarworks流にアレンジ / 再構築を行った "Contour Whiteguard"。LINDY FRALIN CUSTOM VINTAGE 54 SET、RS SUPERPOT & RS JENSEN CAP、 RS CUSTOM BRIDGE、試行錯誤を経て開発され通常のスティール・ブロックの1/2程の重量でサウンド・トーンを2KHzをピークにスムースなトーンを構成し、耳障りな高域を抑えたナチュラル・トーンを付加する高純度のALUMINUM BLOCK等々、オーダーパーツやオリジナルパーツを組み込み拘りを追求。ネックシェイプは程よい厚みの "63C"、フレットに "6105"、ラジアスは10" (254R)とヴィンテージ・フィーリングを持ちつつ現代的なスムースな演奏性。メイプルネックにアッシュボディという、まじりっけのないシンプルな材構成で、シンプルが故に楽器のポテンシャルが試されますが、ピッキングに対するナチュラルな反応感や、薄くなり過ぎないロー、適度なミドルの厚みや艶やかさが感じられ、パサパサになり過ぎずメイプルネックならではの明るさがバランスよく共存。長年の経験を基に生み出される完成度の高い1本。ぜひお確かめください。オリジナルハードケース、アーム、ストラップ、スペックシート、ステッカー付属。
