いくつかのメーカーで楽器製作を学び、その後North Field Mandolin立ち上げから製作に関わった後に独立する中国のMaster Luthier Qin Ji Duoが製作するQuint Mandolin。当器はArchtop Octave Mandolin Maple Short Scale Cutaway。近年海外では多くのマンドリスト達が積極的に使用する事でにわかに注目を集めるオクターブマンドリン。削りだしのイタリアンスプルースアーチトップ、フィギャードメイプルサイド、フィギャードメイプルフラットバック、メイプル/マホガニー/メイプルの3P積層ネック、メイプルピックガード、508mmショートスケール、プレミアムエボニーRadius指板、後藤ペグ、極薄のニトロセルロースラッカーフィニッシュ、カッタウエイボディーです。チューニングはマンドリンと同じ1E.2A.3D.4Gのユニゾンでマンドリンの1オクターブ低い音程になります。ですのでマンドリンを弾くそのままの指使いで演奏できます。音域はギターに近く海外のアーチストでもギター同様弾き語りで使用するアーティストも多く見られます。12Fジョイントネックでラディアス指板、カッタウエイもある事で操作性にも優れハイポジションまでスムースな演奏が可能です。ショートスケールモデルでよりマンドリンに操作感が近く、リードプレイはもちろん、歌もののバッキングなどメイン楽器として多様に対応します。メイプルモデルならではのクリアな音像とパワフルな音量感、プレーン弦の甘みも程よく感じられます。ユニゾンチューニングならではの音の広がりは民族楽器感も得られ、アンサンブルの中でよいアクセントとしても面白いのではないでしょうか?専用ハードケース付属。通常販売価格￥44,0000ですがトップのブリッジ周り数か所のキズがある為の特価品。
