A 1980 Tokai "LS150" Les Paul Reborn has arrived in stock
It’s no exaggeration to call this the pinnacle of Japanese vintage guitars!
A 1980 Tokai Les Paul Standard model, the “LS150”!
Featuring a one-piece mahogany body back with a two-piece solid figured maple top,
a rosewood fingerboard, and classic Les Paul specs, it comes factory-equipped with DiMarzio “PAF” and Super Distortion pickups—exclusive to the “LS150” model
Externally, there is some minor wear on the body edges and other areas typical of its age, but as a piece of Japanese vintage gear,
it’s in excellent condition overall!
The figured maple used for the body top is authentic and has a great look and feel.
It’s also lightweight, weighing just 3.85 kg.
As for the internals, all parts are original except for the rod cover, which has been replaced with a Gibson-style one.
You can also see a “150” engraving at the end of the fingerboard.
The reproduction of the original TOKAI Les Paul model from that era is exceptional. With meticulous attention to detail in recreating parts such as the aluminum tailpiece and the non-wired
ABR-1 bridge, this was a model that truly embodied the “Japan Made” spirit.
In particular, production numbers for high-end models were extremely limited, so if you’ve been searching for one, don’t miss this opportunity!
