GUILD 1967 F-50R Brazilian Rosewood
An overwhelming resonance that no current-production guitar can ever reach. Vintage acoustic guitars from the golden era of the 1960s in particular have a tone that no modern technology can replicate. On top of that, vintage guitars built with Brazilian rosewood - now tightly restricted under CITES - are rapidly disappearing from the market.
GUILD led the turbulent folk and rock scene of the 1960s and graced countless classic records. This is a flagship jumbo model, built by master craftsmen during what's considered GUILD's most celebrated era, the Hoboken, New Jersey factory period.
Its biggest feature is the superb Brazilian rosewood used for the back and sides. After more than half a century of drying, the 17-inch large body produces a deep, cannon-like low end alongside crystal-clear, bell-like highs. Strumming fills the room with commanding volume, while fingerpicking lets every single note stand out - a genuinely magical tone shaped by history itself.

As this is a used/vintage instrument, the following notes reflect what we could confirm during our own inspection. Thank you for your understanding.
- New nut and frets fitted.
- Overspray lacquer across the neck and body.
- Repaired crack at the upper right of the soundhole, patch-reinforced.
- Repaired crack at the lower right of the soundhole (pickguard edge), patch-reinforced.
- Repaired crack (glued) at the lower right of the body back center.
[Playing Condition]
- Action at the 12th fret: 2.5mm (low E side), 2.0mm (high E side)
- Saddle protrusion: approx. 2.0-2.5mm
- No buzzing or dead notes; no issues with playability.
