A top-of-the-line model from Takamine's pioneering "ST (Stereo)" series, embodying the company's advanced technology of the era, has arrived. Ovation had a stereo pickup system before this, but Takamine's take also made a huge impact on the electro-acoustic market of the time.
The defining feature is true stereo output: connecting the instrument to two amps creates an overwhelming sense of space and depth as the sound moves freely across the stereo field - a genuinely ahead-of-its-time pickup system unmatched by other makers at the time.
Top, sides/back, and even the neck are all built from maple. Ebony is used for the fingerboard and bridge, a luxurious choice of woods befitting a flagship model. The deep wine-red finish over the all-maple body, highlighting the beautiful grain, gives it striking stage presence.
The responsiveness of the maple body combined with Takamine's unique stereo system produces an exceptional tone - a landmark instrument in the history of Japan Vintage electro-acoustics, built with the passion and skill of the craftsmen of its era.

Some dulling of the metal hardware and play wear around the soundhole, but condition is good considering the instrument is over 40 years old.

No buzzing or dead notes; plays well. Electronics tested and functioning properly.
