A 1967 Gibson "ES-335TD" has arrived in stock
A 1967 ES-335TD refinished in the custom "Perham Blue" color!
A 1967 ES-335TD refinished in the custom color “Perham Blue,”
a shade also found on original models from that era
Externally, it appears some time has passed since the refinish, as signs of playwear and weather checking are visible in places
I believe the neck has been reset once, but since the pickup cavity has been coated with putty,
I cannot say for certain. Additionally, the frets have been replaced; at the same time, the neck binding was re-applied, and the small position markers—which on original models from this period
were made of very thin celluloid—were also replaced
As for the internals, the guitar is equipped with T-Relief sticker-numbered PAF pickups from a slightly later era,
but the pots are original. Additionally, the frets and nut have been replaced, and the instrument is in good
. It is equipped with modern Kluson tuners, and the hardware includes a
Patent No. ABR-1 bridge, though a slightly later version has been used
As described above, while this is a “player’s vintage” ES-335, it’s highly recommended for guitarists who want a guitar that’s still ready for active use.
And above all, the cool Perham Blue finish is sure to stand out on stage!
