ASTURIAS / 2008 SOLO STANDARD C
Based in Fukuoka Prefecture, ASTURIAS GUITARS builds high-quality instruments from fine tonewoods with a team of around 15 skilled craftspeople. Their delicate tone, comfortable playability, and beautiful body shapes have won over many artists.
This model is an entry-level line within the Solo series that keeps ASTURIAS's quality at a more accessible price. Where many entry-level models cut corners with lower-grade wood or simpler assembly, ASTURIAS keeps the fine tonewoods intact and simply pares back the decoration, so the quality remains while making the guitar more attainable for more players.
The top uses a solid cedar known for its responsiveness and warm tone, with sides and back in a rosewood/mahogany/rosewood three-ply construction. The soft, full sound characteristic of cedar, along with clear articulation, gently envelops the player.
Decoration is understated, but the rosette and binding are carefully finished with real wood, giving it a simple, calm, yet refined look.
The neck has a comfortable grip - not too thick, not too thin - so it feels great for solo playing, fingerpicking, and strumming alike.
Overseas brands make wonderful guitars too, but Japan has plenty of high-quality instruments hiding in plain sight. We'd love for you to experience one for yourself.
