Osamu Nakade was a Japanese guitar maker known for his flamenco guitars. Through precise craftsmanship based on solid technical expertise and a deep understanding of traditional Spanish construction methods, he earned a strong reputation in the field of flamenco guitar making. His instruments are trusted by professional players for their straightforward response and natural playability.

The 1970s and 1980s were an important period in which Japanese makers of classical and flamenco guitars gained increasing international recognition, and Osamu Nakade is regarded as one of the representative makers of this era. While respecting traditional Spanish construction techniques, he incorporated a distinctly Japanese sensitivity to acoustic design into his instruments. His work remains highly valued today as an important part of the Japanese vintage guitar tradition.

This is an FC25 made in 1982, with a 660 mm scale length.

The instrument is characterized by a natural and direct response, producing a firm, clear attack while responding faithfully to the player's touch. Its bright and light character is particularly appealing. The volume is generous, the response is very good, and the sustain is also strong, resulting in a well-balanced overall sound.

Made during the mature period of Nakade's career, when he remained committed to individual handcrafted construction, this is an excellent example of his work, demonstrating his solid technical mastery of flamenco guitar making and the refinement of his acoustic design.

The guitar has a lacquer finish and is fitted with Gotoh tuning machines. The neck has a standard thickness and is straight, while the frets remain in good condition. The string tension is soft, with a wide range of response to the player's touch, making the instrument exceptionally comfortable and easy to play.

Approximately 42 years have passed since the guitar was made, yet it remains in excellent condition. There are some surface scratches on the lower bout of the back and relatively prominent playing marks around the soundhole on the soundboard, but apart from these, the instrument is exceptionally well preserved. The finish remains in good condition, and the neck is also in good condition. There is no history of crack repairs or other major structural repairs.

These marks reflect the fact that the guitar has been genuinely played and used over the years, and the instrument has developed a mature, well-played-in voice through its long playing history. Its structural integrity remains excellent, and the overall condition is a testament to the care with which it has been handled.
