The Triple-O body, sized a step smaller than a dreadnought, sits naturally against your body the moment you pick it up.

This example predates the Standard Series' major overhaul, so it still carries the classic feel and tone that's defined '000-28' for decades - one of its key appeals.

Where 2025-onward units adopt the vintage-style, fuller-sounding 'GE (Golden Era) spruce bracing,' this 2024 unit retains the tight, focused, refined tone of the 'Standard Scalloped X-bracing,' letting you hear the long-beloved classic Martin sound.

The bridge, too, has since evolved into a 'Modern Belly Bridge' for improved sustain, but this 2024 unit uses the traditional 'Standard Belly Bridge,' giving you an honest, unadorned response and the crisp, articulate voice that defines the Triple-O shape.

Newer units also add a subtle chamfer (rolled edge) to the fingerboard edge, but this 2024 unit keeps the traditional edge line, so the grip feels completely familiar to players used to the classic feel.

Design-wise, newer models moved to a 'long diamond neck transition (volute),' while this 2024 unit keeps the compact volute.

The 24.9-inch short scale gives the strings a wonderfully supple tension, letting your fingers glide across the fingerboard for excellent playability.

Tone from the solid Sitka spruce top and solid Indian rosewood sides and back - a classic wood pairing - unfolds in layers of pleasantly shimmering overtones.

Fingerstyle playing gets a crystal-clear response note by note, and strumming chords with a pick fills the room with a surprisingly full, rich resonance for such a compact body.
