Gibson 1953 J-200N
If you have always dreamed of the sheer scale and vintage-only aura that no modern reissue can quite deliver, and on top of that a rare natural finish that leaves no wood grain to hide behind, this is about as close to the end of that search as you can get.
Born in 1937 as the Super Jumbo 200, the J-200 has reigned ever since as the "King of Flat-Tops," beloved by Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan and countless other legends. The early 1950s, when the maple body construction was firmly established, represent the model's golden era, and the "N" (Natural) in the name marks something special: a finish that cannot hide the wood grain, meaning only the finest, most beautiful timber was selected - rarer even than the standard sunburst.
- Cannon-like, oversized voice: the 17-inch Super Jumbo body and premium maple, now dried to perfection over 70-plus years, produce a thunderous low end and clear, articulate maple highs that fill a room with sheer volume.
- Looks that prove top-shelf timber: an amber-toned natural top with dense weather-checking, and beautifully figured maple back and sides that only a natural-finish example can fully reveal.
- Details fit for a king: the iconic mustache bridge, ornate floral pickguard, and crown fingerboard inlays - the deep, golden-era ornamentation that sets it apart from anything else.
A 1953 J-200 in this rare natural finish, still fully playable, is the kind of once-in-a-lifetime find collectors around the world are always searching for.

- Fine weather-checking and general wear consistent with a genuine vintage instrument.
- Repaired crack at the upper right of the soundhole (with an internal patch reinforcement).
- A crack at the upper right of the pickguard, but it does not affect structural strength.
- A small chip on the upper left of the back of the headstock.
- Nut, saddle and bridge pins have been replaced.

- Action at 12th fret: 2.5mm (low E) / 2.1mm (high E)
- Saddle protrusion: approx. 1.0-2.0mm
- Playing condition is good overall.
