Martin 1996 000-28 12-Fret GE
Do you find yourself craving the kind of deep, chest-shaking resonance and vintage-rich tone that a standard 14-fret acoustic guitar just can't deliver?
The Martin 000-28 12-Fret GE (Golden Era), an icon of Martin Custom Shop's golden era, is exactly that answer. It faithfully reproduces the golden specifications of the 1930s, and the extra body volume that comes from a 12-fret join produces an enveloping low end and rich overtones. Made in 1996, it has had nearly 30 years to mature into a superb, seasoned vintage tone.
- Golden-era details: Sitka spruce top with quarter-sawn Indian rosewood back and sides.
- 12-fret construction: with the bridge positioned closer to the body's center, the whole body responds and rings the moment you pluck a string.
