[Luthier]
Founded in 1925 by José Ramirez II, the Ramirez workshop has long been regarded as one of the highest authorities in Spanish guitar making, playing a major role in shaping guitar culture worldwide for generations.

José Ramirez III (born in Argentina in 1933) took over the workshop in 1957. During the 1960s, he pioneered the use of Western Red Cedar for guitar soundboards, establishing the tonal foundation of the modern Ramirez sound.

Today, the Ramirez workshop continues to produce instruments at its own factory in Spain, maintaining a balance between traditional craftsmanship and innovation while meeting worldwide demand.

The Estudio series is an ambitious range that carries on Ramirez's distinctive acoustic design while offering instruments at a more accessible price point. In particular, its cutaway models reflect the brand's commitment to meeting the diverse needs of contemporary guitarists, offering improved access to the upper frets, compatibility with popular music styles, and built-in electronic systems.
[Instrument]
The Ramirez 2CWE is a cutaway electric classical guitar designed by José Ramirez, combining traditional Spanish guitar craftsmanship with modern performance functionality.

Featuring a Western Red Cedar soundboard and Rosewood back and sides, it delivers the characteristic warmth, rich volume, and expressive resonance associated with Ramirez guitars.

The cutaway body provides comfortable access to the upper frets, making the instrument suitable not only for classical repertoire but also for jazz, pop, fusion, and other contemporary musical styles.

Equipped with a Fishman pickup system, the 2CWE faithfully reproduces the natural sound of nylon strings when connected to an amplifier or PA system. Its versatility makes it an excellent choice for live performances and studio recording.

A practical and versatile instrument that brings together the heritage of Spanish guitar making and the functionality required by today's musicians.
