グラミー賞で7つ最優秀賞を獲得、全世界でのアルバムのトータル・セールスは2000万枚以上を誇る米シンガーソングライター、ジョン・メイヤー。楽曲の人気のみならず、流麗なギターテクニックも認められ、現代の3大ギタリストの内に数えられるほど。マーチン社からも2003年にシグネチャーモデルOM-28JMが発売されるも即完売。そのOM-28JMを引き継ぐ形でカスタムシグネチャーモデルとして登場したのがこちらのOMJMです。トップにはイングルマンスプルース、サイド＆バックにはインドローズを配し、ライブでも取り回しのよいOMボディサイズ。スタイル28をベースとしたヘリンボーントリムにアバロンサウンドホールロゼッタの組み合わせがスペシャルな印象。また、OMでは通常44.5ｍｍのナット幅のところを42.9ｍｍのレギュラー幅を採用しているのが珍しい特徴です。より幅広い演奏スタイルに対応できるような作りになっております。インブリッジのピエゾピックアップも標準装備されており、ステージでの使い勝手の良さもあります。2017年製でストラップピンの装備はあり、ごく薄い擦り傷等使用感はありますがまだ新しさを感じる外観です。消耗部品の減りも少なく、演奏性も申し分ない状態です。
