A guitar that fuses traditional Japanese urushi (lacquer) with a modern acoustic guitar, offering an overwhelming sense of individuality in both tone and looks that no other guitar can match.
[Ultra-thin "urushi" for stunning natural resonance]
Uses traditional urushi finishing suited to Japan's climate. Applied far thinner than typical finishes, it never gets in the way of the top or back/sides resonating - even a light pluck brings out an open, rich set of overtones from the whole body.
[Classic Headway tone and solid build]
The Standard series dreadnought style features Headway's signature dovetail joint and rear-fitted neck for high-precision assembly. Delivers a solid, powerful low end that never backs down from strong strumming, paired with sparkling highs.
[Beauty and texture that grows over time]
The deep, settled sheen of urushi and its semi-transparent grain give it a character mass-produced instruments simply cannot achieve. The color deepens the more it's played and the more time passes, developing a one-of-a-kind expression that's part of the enjoyment of ownership.
Because applying layer after layer of urushi by hand takes enormous time and effort, this URUSHI model is produced in far more limited numbers than the standard lineup.
