Chaki / 1970s P-2 — From Kyoto's venerable maker Chaki, still captivating acoustic guitar fans today. This P-2, being a pure "full-acoustic" instrument with no onboard pickup, lets you experience its resonance without compromise.
Dig into a hard pick attack and you'll hear a bright, crisp, "jangly" tone that cuts through the air. The characteristic earthy yet robust resonance of the maple body gives that dry tone a powerful backbone.
The fingerboard features striking double-parallelogram inlays, evoking the elegance and dignified vintage aura of a high-end Gibson. The gracefully arched top line, the dignified headstock logo, and the amber-toned binding — achievable only through decades of aging — together capture the spirit of an era when Japanese craftsmanship was at its most passionate, reaching the level of a true work of art.
