1992 Ovation 1681-5 Adamas II, developed to bring the essence of the Super Adamas concept to a wider range of guitarists while retaining a highly refined build. The top uses Ovation's signature multi-soundhole construction, with finely carved epaulettes and glittering detail work. The top is a proprietary carbon graphite composite — neither spruce nor cedar — that emphasizes attack and responds sharply to playing nuance, with a bright, focused character and a certain cool clarity. The round-back body construction gives deep, long sustain that particularly shines when run direct/line. A 5-piece mahogany-and-maple neck is sturdy yet comfortable, with an instantly recognizable, singular tone. Comes with the valuable original hard-case cover. Specs: Top Carbon Graphite, Back/Sides Lyrachord, Fingerboard/Bridge Walnut, Neck Mahogany+Maple 5-piece, Nut width 42.0mm, Scale 640mm, Electronics OP24, Case Original Hard Shell Case. Clean condition with no notable damage; no buzzing or choking; electronics function without issue. Action at the 12th fret: 2.6mm low E side, 1.7mm high E side. Saddle protrusion approximately 2.5mm.
