PRSを代表するフラッグシップモデル"Custom 24"。"Paul Reed Smith"が1985年に初めて出展したトレード・ショーで世に発表し、今日でも代表的存在かつ最も人気の高いPRSオリジナルモデルの決定版とも言えるモデル。また少人数のチームによってハンドメイドされるワンオフスペックの"Private Stock"は「売り物にしたくない程の素晴らしい材」を使用することから名づけられた通りの最高級の材で実現をされます。本器は2009年のNAMM Show出展モデル"Private Stock Custom 24 Tiger Eye Smoked Burst"2009年製USED品。理想的に整った杢のカーリーメイプルトップ、マホガニーバック、マホガニーネック、エボニー指板、ヘッド天神板、ピックアップリング、ノブにもエボニーを採用。ラップアラウンドスタイルのストップテールピース、ピックアップにはトラッドかつバーサタイルな"57/08"×2基、サーキットは1Vol,コイルスプリット付き1Tone & 3Wayのシンプルな構成。"Joe Knaggs(ジョー・ナッグス)"を筆頭に精鋭のクラフトマンによる作業が記されている本器。特に多色の白蝶貝とマンモス象牙を駆使して構築される"Americana Birds Inlay"がエボニー指板に映える抜群の存在感は見所。その作業性の手間から惜しくも現在、新規での受注が終了してしまっている貴重なスペックです。各所のスペックが"PRS"らしい"ケレン"で楽しませつつも、全体的には落ち着いたトーンで洗練された印象に巧くまとまった決定版的ルックス。"57/08"ピックアップによる充実した倍音構成とラップアラウンドブリッジによる骨太なサスティーン。こちらフレットはステンレス素材にアップデート済み。丁寧な作業がされておりエボニー指板のスペックとも相まって、より明瞭かつ高精細な音像でピッキングニュアンスを如実に再生してくれます。ボディ下部エッジのわずかなチッピング、細かな小傷やハードウェアのメッキ擦れ等、多少の使用感は見られるものの、塗装面の白濁や顕著に外観を損ねる大きなダメージもなく好印象なグッドコンディション。ロッドの調整を含めネックコンディションも大変良好で、弾きやすいローアクションのセッティングできております。ルックス・サウンドともに抜群の魅力で"PRS"無二の醍醐味を味わえるハイセンスな1本。ぜひお見逃しなく。オリジナルハードケース、認定書等が付属。
