【2026年9月ギブソンファクトリーツアー現地選定個体】
1951年～1958年の短期間のみ生産されたJ-185。オリジナルの個体も市場に数少なく貴重なモデルとして、ヴィンテージ市場では高額で取引されている人気モデルです。

本器は、ギブソン・フラットトップの100周年を記念してリリースされた「Century Collection」の一つJ-185 Centuryをベースにカタログには無いチェリーカラーを身にまとった限定モデルです。新製品のカタログ外カラー、しかもファイアストライプ柄のピックガードとレアなルックスということで買い付けてまいりました。

Top材は12フレットジョイントボディにトップはシトカスプルース、サイド＆バックはマホガニー、マホガニー材ネック、ローズウッド材指板&ブリッジ、43.8mmナット幅、628.7mmスケール、ボーン・ナット&サドル、Golden Age製クリームボタンのオープンバック3連ペグ、スクリプトロゴ、ファイアストライプのピックガードとトラディショナルなスペック。

サウンドはマホガニーらしい迫力ある音色で、フラットピックでの音飛びは最高に気持ち良いです。メイプル材サイド&バックの迫力のある胴鳴りも良いですが、マホガニーの明るく軽快なサウンドはギブソンにしか出し得ない極上のトーンです。

ギブソン史上最もバランスに優れたモデルと言われるだけあり、J-200よりもタイトに、J-45よりも大らかに鳴ってくれますので、非常に扱い易いと思います。

J-185自体が国内入荷の少ない希少モデルですが限定カラーとなれば尚更です。
