1975年、Alan MundeがCountry Gazetteで活動していた際、2本目に製作されたStaghornを使用したことで、Stellingは一躍人気のブランドとなり広く知られるようになりました。当器はSwallowtail 2012年製USD品。SwallowtailはGeoff Stellingと、バンジョー奏者のTom Hanwayによって1997年のアイルランドツアー後に考案されたモデル。ツバメ、オークの葉、ドングリ、そして閉じた結び目のインレイは、古代ドルイド教やケルトの伝統に由来するデザインで指板インレイに落とし込んでいます。ネック＆リゾネーターは美しい杢目を持つ最高級カーリーメイプルを使用。エボニー指板、RimにはTony Pass 600TSブロックリムを使用。湖底に100年以上にわたって沈んでいた良材をブロック構造に加工、組み立てたもので高音域の明瞭さの向上と、低音域・高音域のバランスの取れた音色が特徴と言われています。オリジナルフラットヘッドトーンリング、Stelling1ピースフランジ、オリジナルテールピース、オリジナルペグ、ハードウエアーはニッケル仕上げです。リゾネーターサイドや指板サイドにはアイボロイドバインディングを施しています。リゾネーターバック中央とヘッド、指板インレイにツバメのアバロン＆パール装飾が施されています。5弦7.8.9.10fにスパイク有り。全体的に使用感が少なく目立つキズなどもない大変美品のSwallowtail。国内流通もまれなモデルです。フレットの減りもほとんど見られずネックコンディションも良好。メイプルモデルならではのクリーンでパワフルな響きで豊富な音量感が満足度の高いモデルです。オリジナルハードケース付属
