Bourgeois 1996 D-150 Custom — a rare early example from shortly after master luthier Dana Bourgeois launched his own brand, the flagship dreadnought of that era.

The back and sides are superb Brazilian rosewood with one-of-a-kind figure, paired with an Adirondack spruce top reminiscent of costly prewar vintage instruments.

As is typical of Bourgeois guitars from this period, finish clouding appears in places across the body, but please don't judge this instrument by its looks — it holds outstanding tonal potential. Glassy, sparkling trebles with a lush sheen spread through the room, while the Adirondack top delivers thick, solid, powerful lows and mids. Projection of each note is exceptional; even hard strumming doesn't compress the sound, and a deep sustain lingers. From explosive volume with a flatpick to delicate fingerpicked nuances, it responds faithfully to every subtlety of your touch.

[Playing Condition]
Action at the 12th fret: 2.3mm low E side, 1.7mm high E side. Saddle protrusion approximately 1.0-2.5mm. No choking, buzzing, or other playability issues.
