A special instrument built by Akinobu Dozen, one of K.Yairi's skilled luthiers. He personally selected the wood and handled every stage of production, and his experience, technique, and keen sense of sound make this guitar truly worthy of being called a "work."
Top, back, and sides are all carefully selected tonewoods; only wood meeting Dozen's strict standards for dryness, density, and beauty of grain was used. As a result, the whole guitar resonates easily, with rich body resonance and depth of tone.
The BM-90C's strength is a delicate yet focused sound. It responds faithfully to a light touch and fully expresses complex chords and subtle nuances. The low-mids are warm and thick, with a presence that holds up in chord strumming, while the highs are clear and sustaining, giving defined, beautiful tone for fingerstyle and arpeggios.
Above all, K.Yairi Custom Shop stands out for careful construction. Neck set angle, fret-end finishing, and finish thickness and balance are all attended to with playability in mind. It is comfortable over long sessions, with no compromise in note attack or sustain.
