2021年頃よりもともとのメイプルネックより、マホガニーネックに変更となり、劇的に音抜けの良くなったOriginalシリーズのダヴ。ヘッドやネックの動きが少なく、楽器管理の面でも取り扱いやすくなりました。

60年代初頭に導入された、フレイムメイプル・バックを擁するスクエアショルダー・モデルであるDoveは、ポピュラーミュージック史において最も革新的な時代といわれる当時の時代背景と非常に近しい関係があります。スクエアショルダー・ボディによりバランスのとれたウォームなサウンド傾向を持つ一方、バックとサイドに用いられたメイプル材とロングスケール構造により、歯切れがよく、クリアで、サウンド・プロジェクションに優れた特性を誇ります。クラシックな仕様を擁するDoveの仕様詳細として、ボーンナット、ボーンサドル、ダブル・アンティーク処理で渋みを増した多層バインディング、二ッケル・グローヴァー・キーストン・チューナー、伝統的なダヴ・トラスロッド・カヴァー、そしてマザー・オブ・パールによる鳩のインレイと手彫りと手作業でペイント作業が施された手の込んだピックガードなどが挙げられます。
