本器は、カヤボディのテナーウクレレの新作、T-KAYA-SAKURA。

ウクレレ材としては珍しいカヤの木をボディに採用、そしてSUMI工房の御家芸とも言えるサクラのインレイがヘッドと12フレットに美しく入れられており、見る角度で様々に光り輝く様は、まるで本物が咲いているかのようです。

明るく、軽やか、すっきりとした音色はカヤの特徴かもしれません。テナーのような大型ボディとの相性は良いように感じます。また、ややワイルドな木目もビジュアル的にGOOD!です。
