We have acquired very well-conditioned Torres model from Jesus Bellido, which is becoming more popular than his originals models nowadays.
It is rather ironic fact that almost no full copied Torres model can be found in modern Spanish luthiers works, although the Torres, which is one of the great masterpieces of guitars, was born in Spain.
This Torres model has been labeled ‘Modero Torres’, yet it is difficult to say that it is a fully copied model.
Still, among the modern Spanish guitars, this model is one of the few that resembles Torres in style.
As for its sound, higher register resembles that of Torres, which is wonderful. When copying Torres, its first string tends to sound weak at its core, yet this instrument has thick and sweet tone resembling original Torres.
Although its body is rather small and made of maple, lower register sounds very dynamic. It does not hold the particular mysterious Torres sound, but that is understandable since Bellido does not carry that type of sound.
Overall, playability is very easy especially on its right hand, it has excellent power and great projection, with plenty of warmth and deeper resonance. Very much the characteristics of Granada made guitars. The width of the body is rather thin, and it weighs quite light, thus making this instrument very easy to handle.
There is a very small crack scar on the left shoulder of its back side, but it has been repaired. Made of Birdseye maple, that are now rare, the overall condition is excellent.
