本器は初期ロットならではの黄金期サウンドを持つ、OD-1 Over Driveの1979年製ヴィンテージ。

1977年に登場したBOSS OD-1 Over Driveは、世界初のオーバードライブ・ペダルとしてギターエフェクター史に名を刻む名機です。BOSSが築き上げた「自然な歪み」「アンプライクなドライブトーン」の原点であり、以降の無数のオーバードライブの手本となった伝説的モデル。登場から40年以上を経た今もなお、そのサウンドと存在感は別格です。

クワッドオペアンプは「NEC μPC4741C」です。
そのサウンドは独特の中域の太さと温かみ、そしてピッキングに敏感に反応する自然なコンプレッションが魅力です。銀ネジ期特有の質感ある筐体、コレクター垂涎のディテールです。
