アメリカウィスコンシン州のギターメーカー McPherson（マクファーソン）。
マット・マクファーソンは理想のサウンドを求めて長年研究し、オフセットされたサウンドホールや複雑なブレイシング構造など、独自で考案したオリジナルギター。
本器はMG-4.5XPのUSED品。

トップ：カルパチアン・レッドスプルース
サイド&バック：ジリコテ
ネック：マホガニー（カーボンロッド）
指板：エボニー
ブリッジ：エボニー
ペグ：シャーラー
その他：45mmナット幅、647.7mmスケール、コアバインディング、L.R. Baggs RTS 2搭載

品番の数字はボディの最も薄い部分厚みを表しており、このモデルの場合ボディーの最も薄い部分が4.5インチ=約11.43cmとなります。
外見だけに着目しても独創性が色濃く感じられますが、マクファーソンの独創性は構造においても異彩を放ちます。
トップのブレイシングにはスプルースの他にローズウッドを用いることで、サスティーンや音の厚みを向上。14フレット以降の指板はボディとの間に隙間のある構造となっており、トップ面の振動を妨げないことで豊かなサウンドに一役を担っています。
ネックはボルトジョイントを採用し、ネックの補強材は従来のギターと比べると倍以上も太さのあるカーボンロッドを搭載しています。これによるネックの強度と質量もマクファーソンの特徴の一つです。その外見も構造も特色のあるマクファーソンですが、そのサウンドは奇をてらった物では無く、オフセットされたサウンド・ホールはディープな低音を放ち、伸び、艶のある高音域はその存在感を主張します。
大きめの塗装のチェックや、トップを中心に全体的にキズが多く、しっかりと弾き込まれたことがわかります。演奏面のコンディションは良好で、アンダーサドルピエゾも搭載しており、ライブでも即戦力としてお使いいただけます。
日本では流通の少ないマクファーソン、使用感多めのため、通常相場よりお買い得価格でのご提供です。
