Bocusto Guitars （ボカストギターズ）は、タイ・バンコクを拠点に活動するEkabuth Posin（エカブット・ポーシン=通称 ボーナス）氏によって製作されています。ボーナス氏のカスタムギターと言うことでボカストギターズです。
ボーナス氏は元々クラシックギターの演奏家として、タイの有名大学で修士課程まで学びます。数々の国内コンクールでの受賞歴があり、ギター講師としても活動、そして最終的に、タイの有名ルシアー、Wiroon Song bundit氏のもとで製作技術を学び、ギター製作家としての道を選びました。Bocusto Guitarsは、世界中から厳選された最高級の素材を用い、精度の高い手作業で製作されています。「ギターサウンドと芸術的な装飾をラグジュアリーなスタイルで融合させる」ことがブランドコンセプトです。

Cantabileは、ブランドを代表するオリジナルシェイプ。その名の通り"歌うような"伸びやかな響きを目指したモデルで、本器ではシンカーレッドウッドとココボロという上質な材構成を採用しています。深みのある赤褐色のトップ、濃密な杢を持つココボロのサイド＆バック、そしてゴッホの名画『星月夜』をモチーフにした装飾が一体となり、絵画的な美しさと楽器としての存在感を見事に両立しています。
トップ材のグレードやサイド＆バックのココボロの見事な杢目は、木材サプライヤーの顔も持つボーナス氏ならではの選定です。
シンカーレッドシダーは、通常のシダー材が持つ柔らかなレスポンスと甘い倍音感に加え、長い年月を経た材ならではの落ち着いた響きと芯のあるトーンが魅力です。軽いタッチでも音が立ち上がりやすく、フィンガースタイルでは右手のニュアンスを繊細に表現。フィンガースタイルではタッチのニュアンスを繊細に拾い、軽い入力でも豊かな響きが広がります。ココボロはローズウッド系の中でも密度が高く、明瞭な低音、艶やかな高域、長いサスティンが魅力。両材の組み合わせにより、甘さと透明感、そして奥行きのあるリッチなトーンが引き出されています。
音色は非常に艶やかで、単音の輪郭が美しく、コードを鳴らした際には倍音がふわりと広がる印象です。低音は深く、しかし膨らみすぎず、メロディラインは前に出るため、ソロギターやフィンガーピッキングとの相性は抜群。繊細な表現からダイナミックなストロークまでしっかりと応えてくれます。アートピースとしての美しさと、実用楽器としての完成度を兼ね備えた、Bocusto Guitarsの魅力を強く感じられる個体です。
