1978年に始動したコンポーネントギターの草分け的存在である「Moon Guitars」。確かな技術を持つビルダー集団によって厳選された材、ピックアップなどのパーツを使用し、組み上げられており、その品質の高さから多くのトップアーティストにも支持されているブランドです。そしてRM（レゲエマスター）は、1981年の発売開始以来、ロングヒットを続けているMoonを代表するモデルです。

本機は、チャーリーブラウンカラーにゴールドパーツを組み合わせた人気のスタイルです。マホガニーのボディに、P-90タイプのピックアップを2基搭載したなんとも熱いギターで、そのファットなサウンドは堪りません。

ネックは、良い木取りのメイプルで、フィンガーボードは、明るい色合いでニューハカランダとも呼ばれるホンジュラスローズウッドです。ハカランダに近い音響特性を持っています。ハードウェアにつきましては信頼性の高いゴトーです。塗装は、ムーンお馴染みの極薄のラッカーフィニッシュで、より音をダイレクトに伝達、風合いも趣があります。

サウンドの要となるピックアップにはムーンオリジナルのH.Y.G DX P-90ソープバー・タイプを搭載しており、タイトで厚いサウンドをアウトプットしてくれます。ドライブしたときのジューシーさもすごく良い感じです。また生で鳴らしたときの振動感もすごくあります。

そしてプレイヤーを意識した、305Rのフィンガーボードラジアス、22フレット仕様、独立式のサドル、体にフィットするコンター加工、ボディトップ左上に付いたPUセレクタースイッチなどの仕様も特徴です。
