The Legacy Project was conceived by renowned Canadian luthier Mario Beauregard as a unique collaborative endeavor dedicated to preserving and passing on the building philosophy of Ervin Somogyi to future generations.

Unlike any other guitar-making initiative in the world, the project resulted in the creation of only two instruments, named "Dawn" and "Dusk", symbolizing the beginning and end of a day.

Presented here is Dawn, an OM cutaway model.

This guitar is accompanied by a custom Legacy magnetic pickup and a dedicated spatial preamp, both developed exclusively for the Legacy Project.
Please note that the guitar itself has not been modified or fitted with an onboard pickup system.

## About the Legacy Project

At the heart of the Legacy Project is Mario Beauregard, one of Ervin Somogyi's most accomplished apprentices.

Joining him are five distinguished luthiers who trained under his guidance:

- Michel Pellerin (Canada)
- Martin Tremblay (Canada)
- Dontcho Ivanov (Canada)
- Luca Cesaroni (Italy)
- Keisuke Nishi (Japan)

Together with their mentor, Ervin Somogyi, these seven master builders formed an unprecedented international collaboration.

Each luthier was responsible for specific components—including the neck, body, bracing, rosette, and other elements—while the instrument itself traveled between workshops in the United States, Canada, Italy, and Japan throughout its creation.

By combining decades of experience and exceptional craftsmanship, they produced a guitar that could never have been realized by a single maker alone.

More than a showcase of technical mastery, the project embodies what Mario Beauregard describes as "a family-like bond of trust, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to carrying these traditions forward to the next generation."

The result is a pair of truly one-of-a-kind instruments, each reflecting the individual voice and philosophy of every participating luthier.

Among their many remarkable details, none is more symbolic than the "Seven Hands, One Rosette."

Each of the seven luthiers crafted one segment of the rosette, making it the defining visual expression of the project's spirit.
